My Story
I have always been drawn to advertising and marketing even as a small child. I have a great admiration for creative thinking and creativity in execution. I believe that at its core, marketing tactics and strategy are transferable skills that, when nurtured, can be cultivated within any industry. Industry transitions require research, observation, listening and business savvy, but someone with this expertise has the ability to thrive in any business.

In college, business marketing was my primary focus along with public relations and advertising. I began working in marketing as a student for the university newspaper as the advertising sales manager and then as an intern in the national center of the American Heart Association (AHA). Upon graduation, I was honored to gain experience in international marketing and meeting planning within the science division of the AHA for the next six years. In my many progressive roles at AHA, I was able to establish a strong base of marketing strategy expertise and develop strong leadership and management skills.
In 2008, experiencing my first layoff during the economic downturn hurled me into a roll that allowed me to gain a great understanding of meeting planning and sponsorship management as the sole marketing manager for a company in the plumbing and HVAC industries.
After seven years maximizing my professional growth within that role, I sought to gain experience in a marketing agency where I gained very valuable knowledge in a short time before experiencing the second layoff in my career.
That second downsizing experience once again provided a great opportunity to find a role that would elevate my management experience among a talented group of marketing professionals who strive for intentional advancements, adopting new technologies and platforms to reach maximum efficiency and effectiveness in sales support model for PrimeLending, a mortgage company focused on service and borrower education.
My top professional goal is to head a successful marketing team within the next 5-7 years, coaching and developing team members to become data-driven, effective strategists who execute with efficiency and purpose.
